The schedule for the Asia Cup 2023 is announced finally with Pakistan getting 4 games and the rest of the games to be played in Sri Lanka. The Asia Cup 2023 was originally scheduled to take place entirely in Pakistan but after the political tussle between India and Pakistan, India refused to travel to Pakistan and demanded the tournament to be shifted to a neutral venue. But Pakistan’s strong stance and threat to pull out of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 sense prevailed through delicate diplomacy, and India agreed to the hybrid model proposed by Pakistan. The schedule was announced in an event organized by the PCB. The trophy unveiling also took place at the same event. Some of the Pakistani stars, Waqar Younis, Muhammad Hafeez, Abdur Rehman, and Asia Cup 2014 hero, Aizaz Cheema were also present in the ceremony. Here is the schedule:

The Final will be played on 17th September in Colombo.
Pakistan will remain A1, which means that regardless of the result of the India-Pakistan match result, Pakistan will remain A1 as A1’s Super 4 game will be played in Pakistan.
Do note that this will be the first multi-nation tournament in Pakistan after almost 8 years since Cricket returned to the country. It will be a fascinating view for the fans to watch their team compete against multiple nations for a bigger prize.
